GENERAL CONDITIONS

Reservations

Individual guests may book online, by phone, post or fax. For online reservations a 20% deposit is payable by credit card via the PayPal system. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. Please note that the balance of your stay must be paid when checking out from the hotel. Information given at the time of booking is legally binding.

 

PAYMENT

Costs of any additional hotel services incurred during your stay should be settled at time of check- out either in cash or by credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express).

 

DEPOSITS

A 20% deposit is payable at the time of reservation. This may be paid by wire transfer or by other agreed means. This is payable immediately or within seven days of receipt of confirmation. In the case of last minute bookings it is payable a maximum of three days before the start of the agreed stay. Any bank charges incurred are at the guests’ expense.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Individual guests must comply with current Italian law.

  • Cancellation of online reservations must be made in writing within 24 hours.
  • A full refund of the deposit paid is payable only for cancellations made within 60 days prior to arrival.
  • A refund to the value of 25% of the deposit paid is payable for cancellations made from 59 to 15 days prior to arrival.
  • No refund is payable  for cancellations made 14 days or less prior to arrival.

 

HOTEL POLICY

The hotel policy is in accordance with the above general conditions. In the event of non-compliance with the above regulations, the Hotel Tourist has the right to annul the accommodation agreement and the above cancellation policy applies.

 

LEGAL RESPONSABILTIES / DEPOSIT PAID

Whoever may cause damage to the hotel building or its contents will be held legally responsible in accordance with current regulations. This applies in particular to tour operators and their representatives. Theft and damage with intent will be immediately reported to the authorities.

On departure of groups, a member of the hotel staff will check all rooms. The cost of any necessary repairs or the replacement of lost keys will be charged and must be settled at the time of departure.

The Hotel Tourist is not legally responsible for any luggage left in its custody or for motor vehicles or bicycles parked on hotel premises.

 

FINAL REGULATIONS

Any irregularity in a single clause of the above conditions does not invalidate the remainder of those conditions.


ADDITIONAL POINTS OF HOTEL POLICY

  • From 10pm guests are kindly requested to keep noise at a respectably low level in all hotel areas, particularly in the corridors and stairways.
  • In accordance with Italian law, smoking is not permitted inside hotel bedrooms or in any indoor communal areas.
  • In the case of damage to the hotel itself or to hotel property or loss of hotel keys, all relative costs will be charged and must be settled by the responsible party.
  • Charges of this type are to be settled immediately and in cash. For groups, the tour operator’s representative is to advance the monies on behalf of the tour operator.
  • Theft and damage with intent will be immediately reported to the authorities.
  • Emergency staircases are to be used only in the event of fire.

 

In the event of non-compliance to any of the above regulations, the Hotel Tourist retains the right at any moment to annul the accommodation agreement. In this instance, clients are obliged to pay for the whole period of their agreed stay.

 

The hotel assumes no responsibility for luggage or valuables.

 

EMERGENCY EXITS

In case of fire, it is mandatory to use the Emergency stairways. These are clearly marked. Should these stairs not be accessible, you should remain in your room without locking the door and make yourself visible at an open window.
